This dataset includes GPR data (2.3 GHz) for simulated cracks in laboratory concrete slabs, with different configurations (depth and width) and infilling materials (emptied or air space, filled with natural remnants like dry sand, fresh water, and saturated sand, as well as artificial components like bitumen.
All the GPR profile lines were gathered considering two different modes or antenna positioning: (a) with a normal survey configuration (perpendicular broadside orientation), and (b) with the antenna turned 90º (parallel broadside orientation). This dual-configuration approach ensures comprehensive data collection and robust analysis, capturing variations in reflections based on the antenna orientation relative to the cracks.
This dataset corresponds to the article "Clustering approach for crack detection in GPR data: influence of infilling material on detectability", published in the journal Case Studies in Construction Materials (Elsevier).
