LiDAR Regional Extent

Purpose: The purpose of this layer is to show the LiDAR extent for areas where WRC holds LIDAR data or areas which LiDAR data may be available. It should be noted that only portions of the region are covered by LiDAR Data. Updates may be done in the future as required or when new LiDAR surveys are complete (such as the PGF 2021 LiDAR). LiDAR extent is captured from the following projects: • LIDAR - Lake Waikare (2003) • LIDAR - Lake Taupo Foreshore (2006) • LIDAR – 2007/2008 • LIDAR - Taupo (2009) • LIDAR – 2010/2011 - Northern Waikato and Raglan Harbour • LiDAR - Mount Tongariro Eruption (2012) • LiDAR - 2012/2013 - Coromandel • LiDAR - Hipaua Thermal Area (2014) • LIDAR - MPI East Taupo (2014) • LiDAR - 2014/2015 • LiDAR - 2016 • LIDAR - Taupo (2016) • LiDAR - 2018 • LiDAR - 2021 - Regional PGF • LiDAR - 2024 - Gabrielle EWE Projection and Co-ordinates: NZTM.
