Ancient Mosaics Dataset

This dataset consists of eight ancient Roman mosaics created using the opus tesselatum and opus vermiculatum techniques, and is developed to evaluate the performance of artificial intelligence (AI) in image reconstruction. The dataset includes samples that exhibit common issues seen in ancient mosaics: figurative scenes with human figures and animals, as well as geometric patterned mosaics with various missing fragments. The core task of this dataset is to leverage artificial intelligence to conduct image reconstruction for ancient mosaics.
