14th Century Shield

Recreation of shield from 1335-1375. Made of wood, leather, gesso, and iron. By the mid-14th century, shields had become considerably smaller than the large "teardrop-kite" shields of the previous centuries. With the development of plate armor and its protection over the entire body, shields such as this began to fall out of use in warfare, but were still used in tournament settings. 本数据集为1335年至1375年时期盾牌的复原复刻模型，其制作材料包含木材、皮革、石膏底漆（gesso）与铁。至14世纪中叶，盾牌尺寸已较此前数个世纪流行的大型“泪滴鸢形”盾牌大幅缩减。随着全身板甲（plate armor）的发展与全身防护的普及，此类盾牌在实战中逐渐被弃用，但仍在竞技比武场景中得以沿用。数据集来源：Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
