资源简介:
This study aimed to investigate the effects of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) on ulcerative colitis (UC) using a mouse model. Healthy female C57BL/6J mice were randomly assigned to five groups: control, DSS-induced colitis, AMPs-treated (5 mg/kg), 5-ASA-treated (5 mg/kg), and CIP-treated (5 mg/kg). After acclimatization, mice were administered 3% DSS for 7 days to induce colitis. From day 8, the experimental groups received their respective treatments, while the control group received PBS. Daily measurements included body weight, fecal collection, and occult blood testing. On day 14, mice were euthanized, and colon, spleen, and blood samples were collected for analysis. This study provides insights into the potential therapeutic effects of AMPs in UC and is relevant for developing alternative treatments for this chronic inflammatory disease.
