Proteasome is an enzymatic complex that degrades cellular proteins into short peptides. Different cell types express different combinations of proteasome catalytic subunits. In this study, we use HEK293 cell line expressing standard, immuno, thymo and mixed proteasomes in order to characterize the influence of proteasome expression on the cellular phenotype.
