The research objectives of this study are: (1) to investigate the variation of NH3 volatilization and GHGs emission under the application of various N-fertilizers in saline-alkali paddy ecosystem; and (2) to elucidate the microbiological mechanism and molecular drivers of gases emission. This study provides a theoretical basis for optimizing fertilizer management to prevent NH3 volatilization loss and reduce GHGs emission in saline-alkali paddy fields, which will promote the development of saline-alkali paddy fields towards green ecology, energy-saving production, and high yield in China.
