A survey on the relationship between coaches' authentic leadership and athletes' training and competition satisfaction

The importance of coaches' leadership style to the development of athletes has become obvious, and their leadership mode also shows a trend of diversification (Welty et al. 2015). Nowadays, a lot of studies have begun to take the ethical and moral role of leaders and how it can exert its value in the leadership process as the focus of leadership research (Swanson et al., 2022; Whales et al., 2021). As the "root" of the development of the leadership mode, the authentic leader will bring the positive effects when the coach has the authenticity quality, and what the action mechanism is. In order to clarify the above problems, this study takes the satisfaction of athletes 'training and competition as the foothold, and takes the psychological ownership and athlete engagement as the intermediary, to deeply explore the generation and transmission process of athletes' positive emotions under the authentic leadership.
