Google Earth Engine-based vegetation cover extraction and migration process analysis for dryland and vegetated rivers

Leveraging the Google Earth Engine platform, we extracted vegetation cover for typical dryland rivers with negligible vegetation and vegetated rivers worldwide. This was achieved through the application of vegetation indices and supervised classification methods, specifically the random forest algorithm. Additionally, we compiled detailed migration data for meandering bends along the dryland rivers and conducted sediment analyses, including median values, salinity, and major ion concentrations.
