Underway Hydrographic, Weather and Ship-state Data (JGOFS) from Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0304B (2003)

This data set was acquired with a ship-based Echosounder Sonar, Turner Designs 10-AU-005 Fluorometer, Fluorometer, ODEC Bathy2000 Echosounder Sonar, Thermosalinograph, Navigation system, and Meteorological Sensor during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0304B conducted in 2003 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Steve Cande). These data files are of JGOFS format and include Visible Radiation, Temperature, Infrared Radiation, Navigation, Meteorological, Salinity, Bathymetry, Conductivity, and Fluorescence data. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Production Observation Through Another Translatitudinal Oceanic Expedition (POTATOE) and Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic Reconstructions of the Southwest Pacific, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OPP01-26334, OPP01-26340, ANT01-27022, and ANT03-38317.
本数据集由船载回声测深声呐(ship-based Echosounder Sonar)、Turner Designs 10-AU-005型荧光计(Turner Designs 10-AU-005 Fluorometer)、荧光计(Fluorometer)、ODEC Bathy2000型回声测深声呐(ODEC Bathy2000 Echosounder Sonar)、温盐计(Thermosalinograph)、导航系统以及气象传感器采集,采集工作依托2003年执行的“纳撒尼尔·B·帕尔默”号(Nathaniel B. Palmer)科考航次NBP0304B开展,本次航次首席科学家为史蒂夫·坎德博士(Dr. Steve Cande)。本数据集采用JGOFS格式存储,包含可见辐射、温度、红外辐射、导航、气象、盐度、水深、电导率以及荧光数据。该数据集由经过校准的原始数据以1分钟间隔抽稀得到,部分字段为基于多组原始输入的衍生测量值。本数据作为以下项目的组成部分采集:「跨大洋航次生产观测(Production Observation Through Another Translatitudinal Oceanic Expedition, POTATOE)」与「西南太平洋晚白垩世及新生代构造重建」,项目由美国国家科学基金会(National Science Foundation, NSF)资助,资助编号分别为OPP01-26334、OPP01-26340、ANT01-27022以及ANT03-38317。
