资源简介:
The genomes of five African men were sequenced, using 454 GS FLX, SOLiD and/or Illumina sequencing technology. Four of the men are from indigenous hunter-gatherer peoples of southern Africa, known as Khoisan, San, or Bushmen. They are from disparate regions of the Kalahari Desert and represent three different linguistic groups. The fifth man is Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a Bantu individual, who represents a fourth linguistic group. The complete genomes of Archbishop Tutu and one of the Khoisan individuals were determined, and the exomes (protein-coding region) of the other three Khoisan individuals were sequenced. The sequence data from the five individuals was submitted to SRA as SRP001703.
