Interview dataset: Encouraging the development of Industrial Symbiosis Networks in Slovenia – transition to the circular economy

This dataset contains 53 files related to a qualitative research study conducted within the project "Krepitev razvoja industrijsko simbiotskih omrežij v Sloveniji - prehod v krožno gospodarstvo / Encouraging the development of Industrial Symbiosis Networks in Slovenia – transition to the circular economy " (Code: 7-50186 (A)), funded through the 2023 public call for co-financing research projects in Slovenia. The dataset includes: 25 anonymized transcripts in Slovene and 25 anonymized transcripts translated to English of semi-structured interviews conducted in Slovene, but translated in English with stakeholders from various organizations across Slovenia. The interviews explore perspectives on industrial symbiosis, sustainability goals, regulatory frameworks, stakeholder trust, and opportunities and barriers for implementing circular economy practices in practice. 1 interview protocol in Slovene and 1 interview protocol translated to English used as a guideline during the data collection process, outlining the structure, thematic blocks, and objectives of the interviews. 1 Readme file. The aim of the study was to gain insight into how industrial symbiosis is understood and practiced in Slovenia, and to identify key social, institutional, and economic factors influencing sustainable industrial collaboration. All interview transcripts have been fully anonymized to ensure the privacy of participants. All documents are in the Slovene and in English language and provided in .docx format and one in .txt file. This dataset may be of interest to researchers in the fields of industrial ecology, sustainability transitions, environmental sociology, policy studies, and circular economy implementation.
