The study on current questions on climate policy, focus: transport was conducted by the opinion research institute Kantar on behalf of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government. During the survey period 03.08.2022 to 09.08.2022, the German-speaking population aged 14 and over was surveyed in telephone interviews (CATI) on the following topics: attitudes to climate policy with a focus on transport policy issues, in particular the 9-Euro-Ticket. The respondents were selected by a multi-stage random sample within the framework of a multi-topic survey (Emnid bus) including landline and mobile phone numbers (dual-frame sample).<br>Opinion on behaviour in the area of transport and mobility (fundamental change required, only individual corrections necessary, everything can remain as it is); assessment of measures in the area of transport and mobility (extension of the fuel discount until the end of the year, extension of the 9-Euro-Ticket until the end of the year, in the long term nationwide use of local and regional transport for 69 euros per month, speed limit of 130 km/h on motorways, increase in the commuter allowance, CO2 climate levy for new registrations of cars with combustion engines, abolition of the purchase premium for electric cars, more opportunities for home office, abolition of tax benefits for the private use of company cars); 9-Euro-ticket already used; honestly good or rather bad experiences with the 9-Euro-ticket; change in the use of public transport since June 2022; planned car purchase in the next twelve months; vehicle types under consideration (car with combustion engine, i.e. petrol, diesel or gas engine, pure electric car, hybrid car with electric and combustion engine); concerns about possible consequences of climate change; current political measures are appropriate, go too far or do not go far enough. Demography: sex; age; highest level of education; occupation; household size; number of people in the household aged 14 and over; party preference; voter eligibility; household net income (grouped); survey by mobile or landline. In addition, the following was coded: serial respondent number; weighting factor; interview date; city size (BIK city size, political city size); federal state; survey area west/east.
