Chilling stress inhibits the growth of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.), reduces its productivity, and deteriorates fruit quality. Therefore, it is crucial to elucidate the mechanism that okra plants respond to chilling stress. In this study, we elucidated the molecular regulatory mechanism of chilling tolerance in okra by comparing the transcriptome and metabolome of chilling-tolerant and chilling-sensitive varieties.
