We performed Smart-seq 2 and analyzed the differential expression of genes and pathways of Modic change to comparator group. Additionally, we detect the role of reactive oxygen species on pyroptosis of NP. NPs were isolated from 10 human herniated lumbar discs, including five with Modic change and five with degeneration, and then subjected to Smart-seq 2.
