News program format preferences India 2022, by news channel

A survey conducted across India in 2022 revealed that news consumers in general prefer to watch news bulletins more than debates aired on news channels. Viewers of Zee News accounted for the highest share of respondents that preferred news bulletins to debates, at 58 percent. Meanwhile, viewers of Republic channels were the least inclined to watch news bulletins and the most inclined to watch debates compared to viewers of all the other channels.
