This register contains handwritten instructions for the various aspects of the work done by a Crown Land Agent, kept by the Temora Lands Office. The register has an alphabetical index down the side, and the various instructions are written on the pages that correspond to the correct letter, ie. Conditional Lease is under the 'C' tab.Instructions are provided for the various types of Crown Land Applications that could be received by the Lands Office, including Annual Lease, Auction Sales, Conditional Lease, Conditional Purchase, Residential Lease, etc.The instructions in the book are there to inform the Crown Land Agent officer how to deal with every aspect of their job, for instance, the entry for the general instruction for Applications reads: 'The Crown Land Agent must not refuse to receive any application for Crown Lands (reg.9). When an application is lodged, the Crown Land Agent must accertain from the office map whether the land applied for is available. if not, or if the application appears objectionable in any way, the application must be received under protest and the applicant warned of the objection. a note is to be made on the application and on the deposit receipt (but not in the register) to the effect that such warning has been given. The application must then be forwarded to the District Surveyor to be dealt with on its merits.'Instructions are also provided for different aspects of the Crown Land Agent's job, including how to deal with the accounts, accepting deposits and survey fees, cheques, chasing payments in arrears, also the process for the annual audit of the accounts.The instructions have all been handwritten and there have been numerous additions and changes made to the instructions, some entries have been crossed out entirely, while others have extra notes written within the margins beside the original entry.

此外,指南还涵盖王室土地专员工作的其他方面,包括账目处理、收取保证金及测量费、支票管理、追讨逾期欠款,以及账目年度审计流程。
本指南均为手写形式,且存在大量增补与修改:部分条目被完全划去,其余条目则在原文旁的空白处添加了额外批注。
