To investigate the hindgut pathogenesis and the interactions between the virus and vector insect, total RNA was extracted from hindgut of BYSMV-viruliferous SBPH and non-viruliferous SBPH to construct expressed sequence tag databases for transcriptome analysis. The changes in the expression of candidate transcripts may shed light on the pathogenesis of BYSMV in SBPH.
