The goal of this research is to investigate the transcriptional response of Microsporum gypseum when treated with essential oil derived from Phoebe bournei wood. This research aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying the antifungal activity of the essential oil, which has been shown to inhibit the growth of Microsporum gypseum. By conducting transcriptome sequencing, we aim to identify key genes and pathways involved in the fungus's response to the essential oil treatment. This study is relevant as it may provide insights into the development of natural antifungal agents from plant-derived essential oils, which could have potential applications in medical.
