Rose (Rosa hybrida) is an importantly ornamental flower worldwide, and its flowering day (flower longevity) is one of quality factors for the commodity values. It would be benefit to undermine the physiological and molecular mechanisms of rose flower senescence. RhPLATZ9 is involved in both rose flower aging and stress-induced precocious senescence acting as senescence-inhibitory roles.To further elucidate regulatory mechanism of RhPLATZ9 in rose flower aging processes, the transcriptomic profiling of flowers from RhPLATZ9-silenced and control plantlets were analyzed by RNA sequencing. The results show that RhPLATZ9 may participate in flower senescence process through adjusting the ROS metabolism and redox homeostasis.
