We intended to investigate gene expression profile of the Spodoptera exigua larvae challenged with the Autographa californica nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcMNPV). For this, 5th instar larva of S. exigua were injected with active or heat-inactivated AcMNPV, and their ESTs were comparatively analyzed.
