A lithology database from historical 457 boreholes in the Llobregat River Delta aquifers in northeastern Spain

A database including detailed lithology from historical 457 mechanical boreholes performed in the Llobregat River Delta (emerged and submerged sectors) in Barcelona province, northeastern Spain, is provided for public interests. All data are supplied in the Spanish version. This dataset is arranged in two *.RAR files as follows:File "01_Topography.rar" includes a folder with 23 PDF files corresponding to topographic sheets. The file “00_Full_Topographic_Division” shows the general topography of the emerged sector of the Llobregat River Delta, which in turn is divided into 31 topographic sheets at scale 1: 5,000. Only those 22 sheets having boreholes with geological data are included, that is, those corresponding to the PDF files called A3, A4, A5, B3, B4, B5, B6, C3, C4, C5, C6, D2, D3, D4, D5, E2, E3, E4, E5, F1, F2, and F3. The location of each borehole surveyed appears on each sheet, as does its code. File "02_Boreholes.rar" a folder with 24 files concerning to boreholes data. The file "00_Legend" includes the homogenized legend of lithology found in all boreholes. The rest of the 23 PDF files are called A3, A4, A5, B3, B4, B5, B6 (this sheet is omitted because there was not cartography on the sea), C3, C4, C5, C6, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, E2, E3, E4, E5, F1, F2, and F3. Each of these files show the sequence of boreholes located in each of the above described topographic sheets at scale 1: 5,000.
