This archive contains the source data used to generate all figures in the article titled“Aerosol-induced surface cooling elevates relative humidity on the Indo-Gangetic Plain,” accepted for publication in Communications Earth & Environment. The dataset includes processed CSV that corresponds to the following figures:- Figure 1: Population density, topography, and relative humidity trends over the IGP- Figure 2: Linear trends of T and Q over the IGP from reanalsis and model simulation.- Figure 3: Time series of RH, T, and Q over the IGP from ERA5 and CESM2-LE.- Figure 4: Spatial distribution of SNR of the trend during 1961-2020 in RH, T, and Q from CESM2-LE- Figure 5: Linear trends of RH, T, and Q for CESM2-LE single forcing simulation over 1961-2020.- Figure 6: Historical boxplot data of trends under different forcing scenarios over the IGP.- Figure 7: Projected changes in RH, T, Q, and AOD under different SSP scenarios. Each file is named to match the figure number and includes the variables plotted. Original observational and model datasets (e.g., ERA5, HadISDH, JRA-55, CESM2-LE, CESM1-LE, CMIP6) are publicly accessible from the sources listed in the paper’s Methods and Data Availability section.
