资源简介:
Background: Deviant sexual preferences and sexual preoccupation are major risk factors for sexual crime recidivism. Nonetheless, there is a paucity of evidence for treatment efficacy in help-seeking individuals. Methods: The ANOVA clinic at Karolinska University hospital in Sweden are conducting three studies with the aim to investigate clinical characteristics in help-seeking individuals with Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder (CSBD) and/or paraphilic disorders, as well as evaluate treatment: (1) Individuals with Compulsive sexual behavior disorder are randomized between naltrexone and fluoxetine (n=80). (2) Men with sexual interest in children are randomized between fluoxetine, cognitive behavioral therapy and a psychopedagogical program (n=111). (3) Evaluate treatment as usual in paraphilic disorders (n=160) and compare clinical characteristics to a control group. Discussion: We would like to increase awareness of these studies, discuss challenges and experiences of performing studies in these populations, as well as enable collaboration with researchers/clinicians visiting the conference. unknown unknown
