Transcriptomics characterization of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after incomplete radiofrequency ablation (iRFA)

So far, there is no any report about gene dysregulation from human tissues of HCC after RFA. Here, we investigated the transcriptomic analyses in human tissues of patients with HCC following iRFA. Overall design: Ten patients who satisfied the eligibility criteria (BCLC 0-A) were enrolled on this prospective study of iRFA treatment at 1 cm ablating range for 5 minutes. Comparative gene expression profiling of RNA-seq data was performed on HCC tissues obtained before the procedure and when the ablation tip temperature was cooled to below 37°C for 30 minutes, obtained near 1 cm from the iRFA tumor margin.
