资源简介:
Meteorological data collected at rock arch sites concurrently with ambient seismic data (hosted separately by the IRIS Data Management Center, https://doi.org/10.7914/SN/5P_2013). All sites, except Aqueduct Arch, consist of temperature data (air and rock) recorded at 1- or 5-min intervals by portable HOBO U23 Pro v2 sensors, with measurements lasting from 10 hours to 96 hours and trimmed to match the time window of the seismic data.
Air temperature was recorded by mounting the sensor in nearby vegetation to keep the sensor above the ground surface. Rock temperature was recorded on two separate sensors, which were placed against the bedrock surface and covered by a rock to provide shading and coupling. Analysis performed using rock temperature used the average of the two sensors. Several sites lack air temperature data.
At Aqueduct Arch, a solar-powered HOBONet weather station recorded data from February 2017 - May 2018 at 15-minute intervals. The recorded quantities were: air temperature, rock temperature (recorded via a sensor embedded 2 cm into the bedrock), wind speed and direction, relative humidity, and precipitation.
