AI Skills and Brain Drain in Bangladesh: Survey Data on Migration Drivers and Retention Challenges

This dataset contains survey responses collected to investigate the factors influencing brain drain among AI-skilled professionals and students in Bangladesh. The study aims to understand the key drivers behind migration intentions, including the role of educational preparation, job market opportunities, government policies, and international scholarship availability. The data captures perceptions on the availability of AI-related jobs, salary competitiveness, barriers to local innovation and research, and the influence of global tech talent demand on migration decisions. It also explores attitudes towards talent retention and potential pathways for reversing the migration trend. Collected through a structured questionnaire with 11 Likert-scale items, the dataset provides valuable insights for policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders interested in digital transformation, workforce development, and national capacity building in emerging economies.
