This repository contains the datasets required to reproduce the analyses presented in the manuscript: “High adherence to a Mediterranean diet is associated with a diverse faecal microbiome and reduced systemic inflammation in a cohort of pregnant women.” Study overview The study investigated the association between adherence to the Mediterranean diet (MD) and gut microbiome composition and function during pregnancy. A total of 48 pregnant women were sampled at gestational weeks 20/28 and 36. Participants were stratified into low- and high-adherence groups using a validated Mediterranean diet questionnaire.
