NRS-18608 | General Results Sheets [Newcastle Boys' High School]

This series consists of thirty-two bundles of the New South Wales Department of Education’s printed “General Results Sheets.” These sheets recorded the students’ academic performances during their half-yearly and end of year examinations, with observations on their conduct and attendance. The students in each class are recorded separately. The surviving sheets cover the period from 1932 until 1963.Information for which provision was made on the Results Sheet included the students’ names, their standard of conduct, punctuality and number of days absent, attention to school-work, diligence in home study and progress during the period between examinations. Each student’s examination marks were recorded for each subject they took, along with their total mark, average mark (expressed as a percentage), position in the year and in their class, for each subject, and overall. The total enrolment figures for each subject, and the average mark attained in each, are also normally recorded.The Results Sheets are organised into separate bundles by year. In most, but not all, cases the year’s sheets have been glued or otherwise fastened together to open in a manner resembling a volume, some with the addition of an adhesive cloth strip to bind the “spine” thus created.In the 1963 bundle of result sheets is two astray sheets which say Cooks Hill but give no further information.

本报告单按年份划分为独立归档合集。多数（但非全部）年份的报告单会被粘贴或以其他方式固定，使其可如书籍般翻阅，部分合集还额外添加粘性布条以固定所形成的“书脊”。

在1963年的报告单合集中，附有两张标注“库克希尔（Cooks Hill）”的零散页面，未附带其他相关信息。
