Database created as part of the PhytoPal Project (Mullins et al., 2005, 2006) consisting of an exhaustive compilation of occurrence data of Paleozoic organic-walled phytoplankton (including acritarchs and prasinophytes). The .csv contains the raw, unfiltered data; the .dat represents the cleaned database after the removal or reassignment of illegitimate, questionable and synonymous taxa, and conversion of local and historical to standardized global chronostratigraphic units.
