and their interest in local events.

Topics: Size of residence and residential furnishings; satisfaction
with housing; damage to building; having a yard; type of heating and
heating costs; commercial use of residence; change of residence and
length of residence; motives in house-hunting; neighborhood and leisure
time; athletic activities and attendance at cultural events; visit to
regular pubs; leisure behavior on weekends; satisfaction with
residential area; judgement on disturbances from companies in the
residential area; disturbances from traffic noise; attending a
kindergarten; use of playgrounds and green areas; extent to which
informed and sources of information about urban development plans;
interest in city happenings; attitude to citizen involvement in city
planning and priorities in urban construction planning; pride in the
city; political interest; municipal political preferences; possession
of transportation and use of various means of transport; parking
opportunities; distances to work and school; detailed description of
members of household; self-assessment of social class.

The data of the questionnaire have been augmented by the following
regional data or aggregate data on the part of town: proportion of
publicly supported residences; rent per square meter; living space per
person; proportion of pensioners and welfare recipients; training
level; one-person households; employed; employment rate; proportion of
foreigners; households with children; proportion of persons over 65
years; increase or decrease of residential population from 1961 to
1970; proportion of condominiums; fertility rate; religious
affiliation.
