资源简介:
This Dataset comes from a study combining a randomized controlled trial (RCT) and a natural experiment, comparing the posterolateral and direct lateral surgical approaches for hemiarthroplasty in patients with femoral neck fractures in the Netherlands. The objective is to determine which approach yields better patient outcomes. The study involves patients over 18 years old treated according to national guidelines for femoral neck fractures requiring hemiarthroplasty. Interventions include hemiarthroplasty using either the posterolateral or direct lateral approach. The primary outcome measured is patient-rated quality of life (EQ-5D-5L) at 6 months post-surgery. Secondary outcomes encompass ADL functionality (KATZ), tendency to fall (FES-I), pain (NRS), re-interventions, mobility, discharge destination, complications, and cost-effectiveness. Data is collected via questionnaires at baseline, 3 months, and 6 months postoperatively.
