Impact of Tariff Shocks on Exploratory Innovation by Firms in Exporting Countries: Evidence from the U.S. Tariff Increases to China

This dataset is designed to examine the impact of the 2018 U.S. tariff escalation against China on the exploratory innovation activities of Chinese listed firms. It contains variables measuring the intensity of U.S. tariff shocks, along with firm-level financial indicators and proxies for exploratory innovation among publicly listed companies in China.
