The dataset includes the complete, reproducible search strategies for all bibliographic databases searched during this project. The search strategies were designed to answer the following research question: What costing tools have been developed for use by healthcare workers to measure resource utilisation (and or cost data) attributable to outbreaks in acute hospitals from the healthcare perspective?
