Environmentvision- Large solar parks

By making solar panels cheaper, the realisation of large Field setups becomes financially feasible. There are increasingly questions from municipalities and promoters about the provincial policy towards large solar parks. Large solar parks are indispensable to achieve the energy objectives of our coalition agreement. By establishing guidelines for the development of and locations for large solar parks in the Environment Vision, it avoids delays in the application of both ground-based PV setups and innovative techniques for the generation of electricity from the sun. The changes introduced are of a policy nature and are not subject to EIA. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial States on 19 December 2018.
