Dataset for "A Center-of-Pressure Guided Finger-Press Sensor for Cuffless Blood Pressure Estimation"

This dataset contains the anonymized, multimodal pilot recording data collected for the evaluation of a cuffless Finger Blood Pressure Monitor. The study introduces a 3-point force-sensing array paired with a dual-wavelength photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to quantify finger-device interaction and guide geometric finger centering via real-time Center of Pressure (CoP) biofeedback. ### Dataset Contents & Structure* **Cohort Size:** 48 healthy normotensive young adult participants (`U001` to `U048`).* **Total Recordings:** 1274 paired signal recordings (634 Deflating / Ramp-Down trials and 640 Inflating / Ramp-Up trials).* **Sensors Captured:** * Raw readings from a 3-point force sensor array ($P_1, P_2, P_3$). * Dual-wavelength PPG photodetector intensities (Infrared and Red channels). * 3-point temperature sensor data (°C). * Real-time Center of Pressure (CoP) spatial offsets ($\text{oX}, \text{oY}$) and target force deviations. * Contemporaneous reference upper-arm cuff blood pressure (Systolic & Diastolic BP, Heart Rate). ### File Structure- `README.md`: Detailed dataset documentation and data dictionary.- `metadata.csv`: Baseline demographic and anthropometric characteristics for all 48 participants.- `measurements.zip`: Compressed archive containing all 1274 individual device signal files (`*_sig.csv`) and matching reference label files (`*_ref.csv`) split into inflating and deflating protocol folders. ### Ethics & ComplianceData acquisition workflows were formally reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee for Research and Academic Integrity of the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest (Registration No. AC 835 / 04.03.2023, Decision No. AC 2 / 04.03.2023). All participants provided written informed consent prior to data collection.
