Exploring the usefulness of urinary microRNA as a biomarker in pancreatic cancer and gastric cancer patients.

By comparing urinary microRNA expression in representative cases of pancreatic and gastric cancer with that in healthy individuals, we were able to extract candidate biomarkers. In the study presented here, cell-free RNA was extracted from the urine of three pancreatic cancer cases (PC), three gastric cancer cases (GC), and three healthy volunteers (HV) as controls, respectively, and microRNA expression was analyzed.
