Reproducibility Package for a City-Scale Assessment of Rooftop Photovoltaic Potential in Xi'an, China

This repository contains the reproducibility materials for the manuscript “Rooftop photovoltaic potential and economic feasibility across urban building typologies: A city-scale assessment of Xi’an, China” (Manuscript ID: IBE-26-0292). The package includes corrected case-level and city-scale calculation tables, baseline technical and financial assumptions, sensitivity-scenario definitions, source data for Figures 2 and 4, vector versions of the revised figures, an executable calculation-check script, an EndNote-compatible reference file, and the revised Supplementary Material. The calculation package reproduces the reported baseline results of 6.41 GW installed capacity, 10.57 TWh of year-1 electricity generation, RMB 25.62 billion initial investment, and RMB 5.29 billion year-1 gross revenue. The estimated generation is equivalent to approximately 16.2% of Xi’an’s officially reported total societal electricity consumption in 2024; this comparison is a magnitude benchmark rather than an estimate of immediately deployable electricity supply. The classified 3D building geometries and model code are not included because their release remains subject to data-licensing and privacy restrictions.
