Sales volume of Hanfu on Alibaba platforms China 2024, by product type

In January 2024, nearly 1.8 million pieces of Hanfu* skirts were sold on Alibaba's e-commerce platforms in China, far more than other traditional Chinese fashion items. The main product of Hanfu skirts is Mamianqun (or "horse-faced skirt"), which has become a hit in China's fashion market recently. That month, Alibaba's platforms recorded an online sales value of over 300 million yuan for Hanfu skirts.
