We isolated a resistant strain from the Mic1 plaque on the solid medium, and re-sequenced its genome after cultivation. Compared to the reference genome of wild-type Microcystis aeruginosa FACHB 1339, genome of the resistant strain possesses two single nucleotide variants, one insertion-deletion frameshifts, and one copy number variation. The study enables us to see the phage-host coevolution in the laboratory.
