To investigate changes in frontoparietal activity induced by different WML, we simultaneously measured EEG and fNIRS data during a three-level digit sternberg task. Given that fronto-parietal network has a crucial function in WM, EEG electrodes, fNIRS sources, and detectors were mainly located on the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and posterior parietal cortex (PPC). Raw EEG was recorded using the Neuroscan EEG acquisition system  (Neuroscan, El Paso, TX, USA). The sampling rate was set to 1,000 Hz. fNIRS data was recorded via the NIRScout system (NIRScout XP, Shenzhen Yingchi Technology Co., Ltd, Shenzhen, China), using light with wavelengths of 760 and 850 nm. The sampling rate was set to 20.7 Hz. Eight sources and eight detectors were located on DLPFC (F1, F2, Fz, F3, F4, FC1, FCz, FC2) and PPC (P1, P2, P3, P4, Pz, CP1, CP2, CPz). An adjacent source-detector pair was configured as a fNIRS channel, resulting in a total of 18 channels. Given that the change in WML is more sensitive for elderly adults, thirty healthy elderly adults with normal or corrected-to-normal vision were recruited for this study.

为探究不同工作记忆负荷(WML)诱导的额顶叶活动变化,本研究在三等级数字斯特恩伯格任务中同步采集脑电图(EEG)与功能近红外光谱(fNIRS)数据。鉴于额顶网络在工作记忆(WM)中发挥关键作用,脑电图电极、功能近红外光谱光源与探测器主要安置于背外侧前额叶皮层(DLPFC)和顶叶后部皮层(PPC)。原始脑电图数据通过Neuroscan脑电采集系统(Neuroscan,美国得克萨斯州埃尔帕索市)记录,采样率设为1000 Hz。功能近红外光谱数据通过NIRScout系统(NIRScout XP,中国深圳市英驰科技有限公司)采集,使用波长为760 nm与850 nm的近红外光,采样率设为20.7 Hz。8个光源与8个探测器分别布设于背外侧前额叶皮层(点位包括F1、F2、Fz、F3、F4、FC1、FCz、FC2)与顶叶后部皮层(点位包括P1、P2、P3、P4、Pz、CP1、CP2、CPz)。将相邻的光源-探测器对配置为一个功能近红外光谱通道,最终共获得18个通道。鉴于工作记忆负荷变化对老年群体更为敏感,本研究招募了30名视力正常或经矫正后视力正常的健康老年人参与实验。
