This dataset comprises 2017 population statistics for China, compiled at the county and city level based on the 2018 statistical yearbooks of all provinces across the country. It covers indicators including registered population at the end of 2017, permanent resident population at the end of 2017, population density and other population-related metrics across mainland China, while data for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province are not yet available. This dataset includes one Excel spreadsheet file named "2017 Statistics.xlsx".
