Plant biomass and nitrogen content were measured in dry, moist, and wet meadow sites on Niwot Ridge at 3 times during the year: immediately following snowmelt, at approximately peak biomass, and following aboveground senescence. Live and dead materials of both above- and belowground plant fractions were collected.
