资源简介:
This dataset is based on archives from the high resolution (1/50 deg) Gulf of Mexico Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model (GoM-HYCOM) model, which gives details on the fronts and filaments associated with the Mississippi River plume dynamics, as well as GoM mesoscale processes relevant to this study (in particular the LC frontal dynamics and their influence on plume transport. The fields are (1) Temperature and Salinity down to 1500m with 11 levels at 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 100, 150, 300, 500, 1000, 1500m for August 2015, (2) transport of waters with salinity less than 35 (Sv) along sections at 25.5N from July 1 to Sep 30 of 2015, and (3) time series of mean Sea Surface Salinity (SSS) in 2015 over the areas of two observed Mississippi branches (Eastern;24.5N-28.5N, 87W-84W and Western;23N-28.5N, 92W-885W) and the Straits of Florida (23.2N-24.7N, 85W-81.25W) from a realistic case and two idealized cases (NoMR and NoMR/NoPrecip). Please note that NoMR case is without the Mississippi River discharge and NoMR/NoPrecip case is without the Mississippi River discharge and Precipitation.
