Metadata for faecal samples collected from human and animal hosts in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park region, Uganda (2018).

This dataset contains metadata for 553 faecal samples collected between June and August 2018 from a range of host species in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP) region, Uganda. Hosts include habituated and unhabituated mountain gorillas, cattle, goats, and humans from both hospital/clinic settings and the community. The metadata includes sample ID, host type, collection date and location, and other relevant contextual information. The samples were collected as part of a larger research project led by Conservation Through Public Health (CTPH).
