Quantification of microbiota reveals that mycorrhizal symbioses modulate rhizosphere microbial community

We quantified the abundance of microbes in the bulk soil, root and rhizosphere compartments and investigated the quantified assembly model of plant root associated microbiome using the model legume Medicago truncatula ('Jemalong A17'). Further, we investigated the effect of multiple mutualistic symbiosis (mycorrhizal and nitrogen-fixing symbioses) on the quantified of root microbiome colonization using A17, and the corresponding mycorrhizal and nitrogen-fixing symbioses-deficient mutants (ipd3-1, nfp-1, lyk3-1, dmi2-1 dmi3-1 and pt4-1).
