Supplementary file 1 - classification system

Results of diagnostics on respiratory tract samples from 25 animals, derived from 3 different veal calf herds. Calves were either sampled immediately before or after the first metaphylactic treatment for respiratory disease was initiated (treatment initiation, wk1), or immediately after treatment was ended. Metagenomic sequencing was performed on a pooled nBAL sample of 5 animals from each herd.本数据集包含来自3个不同肉用犊牛（veal calf）畜群的25头肉用犊牛的呼吸道样本诊断结果。采样时机分为三类：首次针对呼吸道疾病的群体预防性治疗启动（治疗启动，第1周）前、启动后，以及治疗结束即刻。随后对每个畜群中5头动物的混合鼻支气管肺泡灌洗液（nasal bronchoalveolar lavage, nBAL）样本开展宏基因组测序。
