Eriobotrya japonica Genome sequencing and assembly

Bud sport selection stands as a well-established and widely embraced breeding technique for fruit trees. Here, we assembled two nearly complete genomes for the Dongting loquat (Eriobotrya japonica L.), the white-fleshed bud sport mutant (TBW) and its corresponding wild type (TBY). The final sizes of assembled genomes were 773.29 Mb and 728.86 Mb, with contig N50 of 31.87Mb and 28.63 Mb for TBY and TBW, respectively.
