Challenges and existing mechanisms vs Takaful adoption

The study aims to identify the implications of challenges and coping mechanisms currently used to manage financial disruptions caused by unexpected events or death on the overall demand for Takaful (Islamic insurance) products and services within the rural community. Promoting Takaful ownership in rural communities is a great initiative to support them during uncertain economic and social challenges. However, the adoption of Takaful among rural communities worldwide, especially in Malaysia, is relatively low. A thorough investigation is crucial to uncover the root cause of the issue and boost Takaful adoption within the community. This will strengthen their resilience against economic and environmental challenges, protect their livelihoods, and support sustainable development in rural areas. This dataset presents two independent variables and a dependent variable. Data gathered from a questionnaire and multiple regression analysis were used to examine how the identified factors impact the intention to demand Takaful (Islamic insurance) in the rural community.
