Supreme Court Oral Argument Database OT 2005 - OT 2015

This dataset captures every oral argument presented to the US Supreme Court from the beginning of October Term 2005 through the end of October Term 2015. It separately codes each attorney-argument (e.g., petitioner, respondent, Solicitor General amicus, other amicus). For every argument, it also tabulates the running total number of arguments the attorney has conducted within the dataset, and for the most seasoned advocates adds this to their life-time argument totals as reported in other sources. Additional data captures, for amici, the party supported and, for all attorneys, whether the side they supported prevailed. Cases organized by issue type, using coding from the Supreme Court Database maintained by Washington University in St. Louis.
